Podcast Episode #6 - Mittens are the new socks

Hey guys! I am glad you came to check out the shownotes - or the video first and then the shownotes. ;-)

But I am very happy, that this time, it finally didn't take me such a long time in between episodes!! It's been less than 2 weeks since my last episode! Yay!! I hope you enjoy it!!

So this time, I talk about the FallinLove-Knitalong, co-hosted by Christina from the A Knitter's life Podcast, that is still going on!! You have time until the 11th of November 2015 to post photos of your finished objects in both Christina's and my FO thread in our groups! There are going to be a bunch of amazing prizes in both our groups for the finished objects! Thanks to our amazingly generous donors!! And there is also a coupon code for Christine's Etsy shop! I forgot to mention, that I am also giving away a handmade bag (made be me) in the chatter thread over in the Ravelry group, just because I think it's so amazing to have all those wonderful people over there to talk about fall and our fall projects!

I show you two finished objects: my white cozy winter shawl (my own design, but inspired by the shape of the Pebble Beach Shawl and the garter-eyelet-ridge in The Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief patterns) that I have knit for the Joeli's Kitchen #designerbootcamp, and also a pair of fingerless mittens, that I call my FallinLove fingerless mittens - also my own pattern.

I have a bunch of works in progress
- my Pebble Beach Shawl #2 - as a Christmas present for my Oma Ida (pattern by Helen Stewart on Ravelry)
- a pair of socks in the Simple Skyp Socks Pattern - either as a Christmas present for my mother or for one of my brothers (free pattern on Ravelry)
- Snowflake Fingerless Gloves - these beautiful colorwork mittens are either going to be a present or for myself, we will see. But it's sooo much fun to knit these!! (free pattern on Ravelry)
- Aurantia Mitts - I just started these, but have to figure out another needle size or change to number of casted on stitches, because my gauge is so off (pattern on Ravelry by Humbug-Watson)
- my Hitofude Cardigan - I LOOOOVE this pattern and am so excited to have this finished someday very soon!!

And I also talk about spinning, sewing quilts and pumpkin recipes. :-)

xoxo
Regina
